Motor Vehicle Accident - 8th & Oak Streets

Millville Fire Department responded to an MVA at the intersection of 8th & Oak Sts. and were on scene for 35 minutes.  Twelve personnel responded to the call.  One occupant in the white car pictured above was injured although it appeared that her injuries were not serious.  There was no entrapment

Engine 30 and Deputy 32 were on scene. The crew of Engine 30 checked both vehicles for fire and any fluid leaks. The van leaked transmission fluid on the road, which was then covered with absorbent.  Once the tow truck righted the van on its wheels MFD returned to station.

Those crazy Millville Firefighters go for a Snowflake Swim

Temperatures below 40 degrees did not hinder two Millville Firefighters from taking a dip in the frigid Union Lake water.  Approximately 40 area residents went for a polar bear type swim on a cold Saturday morning in February.

Millville Firefighters Christine Tonetta and Larry Fawcett took to the freezing water with the others and came running back out.

Brrrrrrr.
