Two Long Time Members Retire
It was recently announced that two of Millville's Favorite Sons
retired from active duty from the Millville Fire Department. Deputy
Chief John "Jack" Wettstein and William "Billy" Dixon
announced their retirement. The Millville Fire Department expresses
their praise and thanks to both Jack and Billy for all their years of hard
work and dedication. These men will be greatly missed.
Both men were honored at the city commission meeting on
Tuesday, March 20, 2001
New Deputy Chief
Steve Alcorn was sworn in as the new Deputy Chief at the same City
Commission Meeting.

Life Saving Medals
Awarded
Career Firefighters Curt Lowe , Lieutenant Howard
Hee, and Firefighters Charles Schaffer Jr., Rick Lappine, and Terry Fawcett, received life saving medals from the City Commission for performing a
rescue at a fire on February 24th 2001. The fire's location was on
Archer Street. A job well done by these Firefighters!
