Gas Leak
On March 16, 1999 a piece of road equipment designed to dig up layers of existing road in preparation for new asphalt severed an underground natural gas line. The gas ignited causing a large ball of flame to envelope the machine. Luckily the driver had time to escape and no one was seriously injured.

Car Fire
Millville Fire Department frequently is called to the scene of a vehicle on fire. For whatever the reason, faulty wiring, poor maintenance or fuel leak, fires involving vehicles usually leave the vehicle extensively damaged.
